There was once a fine, black Tom cat that’d lost his way. He was walking down a quiet street when he came across a shy white cat. She had a lovely bit of fish.

He thought to himself, I can’t reach the fish so…I’ll try to get the fish to come down to me!

"Oh hello, my beautiful cat! Do you want to be my friend?" said the Tom cat in a silky voice, "are you scared to talk to me?"

"O.k.," whispered the shy white cat, "purr!" and as she did she dropped the fish. The Tom cat quickly snatched the fish and ran away to eat it.

Moral: Never Trust a Stranger!
