Year 2 visit Birches Valley On Thursday 21st June children in year 2 visited Birches Valley. The sun was shining as we left Cheslyn Hay and continued for most of the day. On arrival we went into the classroom and admired the collection of woodland animals.
Here are a few of our favourites!
Next the children went outside and played the Caterpillar Game. This game illustrated the value of camouflage in the forest. We all enjoyed this! After that the children went on a Minibeast Safari. We found and collected lots of interesting minibeasts.
Well done everyone! After lunch we had a quick run around the adventure playground. Even the grown ups!
What fun!
Then the heavens opened and the rain came down just as we were about to start pond dipping. We were soaked!
All the children had a fantastic day and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. A big thank you to the parents who gave their time to help with the trip. |
