Basket ball Bounces Back
at Cheslyn Hay!

Reported by: 6C

Birmingham Bullet’s basketball player Clive Allen, aka Sky, shot into Cheslyn Hay Primary School last Thursday to teach year 6 pupils basketball.

The pupils were amazed at the player’s skills as he taught pivots, bounce passes, jump stops and much more as part of their RATS project (Raising Achievement Through Sport).
Clive explained that before any activity could take place a warm up session was very important – but the most important thing of all for any sport is to have fun!

Amazingly Clive is a whopping 6’8” tall and an explosive size 14 shoe!

After a very exhausting session, Hannah (11), red-faced exclaimed, “I thought it was fantastic! The best part was assisting Clive with his demonstrations”.

All the pupils enjoyed the opportunity of training with the ex international basketball player, and hope to play more basketball in the future.

The warm up!
