War

War

Where am I?
Where am I?

I am not at home
Where is my warm bed?
And the toys that sit beneath my cupboard?
I am hungry and thirsty.
Cold and dirty.
Shivering under one blanket
In a wet corner of a damp room.
I stand and look out of the window
I see a farm
Oh so bright
But feelings oh so dull.
I am unhappy and tired
I want to go home
I miss my father and mother
And family too
I wonder if
I 'll ever see them again
Where am I ?
Where am I?
I want to go home.
