Skipping by Keiran
The bell rings for break,
We rush for the drawer,
get the rope and run outside.
I start to skip,
The whistle of the rope
As it swings through the air
The rope turns invisible
As it gets faster
My rope smacking against the floor
I jump through the air my feet
Pound the floor
I try to concentrate but
the confusing whirl puts me off
I feel like I've been skipping for
ages I've only been going two minutes
Then the rope whips my legs
and I stop.
