Anonymous poems

This group of poems were given to me anonymously
by a pupil at Cheslyn Hay - MT

Down in the jungle

The tiger stalks his prey,
Slowly and surly he finds it
Knowing he has a chance POUNCE!

He drags his food away
Tearing it limb from limb
His sharp teeth clinging to the body
All that is left dark, peaceful, DEAD!

Nazis

All the destruction during the war
Casualties on both sides
So many people
So much time
So little help
How many people we might never know
Can all the troubles be caused by one man-
Adolph Hitler?

Religion

It defines your rights
How you live
Why can't the barriers be broken, be one single religion called nothing?
It won't control your every move,
You can live your own life!
Be free from repression and destruction!
Hundreds of people become homeless because of war!
This won't happen because there will be nothing to fight about,
Nothing will be your own except your home where love and kindness grow side by side!
No people will love or hate you because you have the same rights.

The mind.

Images entangled
Memories lost
Can't remember what light is
How the days look like outside
I'm innocent until proven guilty
Let me out!
What justice system?
Prison is a mind of its own.
