Cheslyn Hay Primary School

Mr Tibbetts' departure

Dear Parents,

I am writing to inform you, on behalf of the Governing Body, that it is with regret that we have accepted Mr Tibbetts’ resignation as Head Teacher of Cheslyn Hay Primary School.  As you are aware Mr Tibbetts has been off work for a considerable period of time due to ill health. Unfortunately, he has not recovered sufficiently to enable him to return to work.  As a school I am sure you will join me in wishing him well in the future.  We anticipate having a collection for Mr Tibbetts in recognition of the long time he has been Head Teacher of the school.  If anyone would like to make a donation, Mrs Lees, the school secretary will coordinate this on our behalf.

The Governors are meeting on Monday and will consider the leadership of the school, both in the immediate and long term future.  The outcome of our decisions will be notified to you.  In the mean time the arrangements of Mrs White and Mrs Britton as acting Deputy Head Teachers will continue.

May I take this opportunity of thanking you all for your patience and support through this very difficult period.  You will appreciate that a great deal of thanks is due to Mrs White and Mrs Britton, and all the staff, for continuing to run the school so well during the last twelve months.

I feel that we can now look forward to the future with optimism and expectation for the future stability of the school, and the achievement of better outcomes for our children.

Yours sincerely,

Janet Toplis
Chair of Governors
