Wolves Penalty Shootout

Raising Money for School PE & Football in the Community

Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club have been great this year in providing their extra curricular club for children throughout the school and as a return favour we agreed to host a fundraising penalty shootout competition involving Years 1-6 with the aim of raising money for their football in the community project (that should guarantee more coaching next year) and ensure some class time teaching is also made available to our school…

This also gives us the opportunity to use monies raised to further enhance the growing reputation of PE and School Sport at Cheslyn Hay Primary School.

Thank you for your support in insuring children had sponsors and were able to come to school in their trainers for the day.

Now for the hard part and collecting in all the sponsor money that was pledged. This needs to be in school by no later than Thursday June 7th 2007

A date for the presentation of certificates, balls and tickets will be arranged following the collection of sponsor money and children will be made aware of this in good time.

Wolfie gets to know the children in each class after being called out. Wolfie is scared you see… scared of the quiet children. Make some noise and he’ll come out to play!

Straight down to the serious business of taking some penalties, whilst Wolfie takes a breather… hard work meeting all those children!

KS1 Break and Wolfie is mobbed by his adoring fans. When told by his assistant that Wolfie needed to ‘go and do what Wolves do…’ a bright young lady said ‘Lose to West Brom?’

Dear oh dear, how to make friends and influence people!

Thank you to Marc Campbell, Wolves Sport in Community Coordinator for all his help this year. Long may it continue.
