At 8.50am last Monday morning we received a phone call from London, “the helicopter will be overhead in twenty minutes!”

Everyone immediately sprang in to action: registers were called, dinner money collected, and in a surprisingly short space of time every pupil in the school was out on the playground standing to form the letters C.H.P.S. ready for the helicopter pilot to take an aerial shot of our school site.

The helicopter landed on our school field, where KS1 and 2 gathered for a talk on helicopters and flying (which links with the classroom materials that heliphotos had already sent us). The session concluded with class photos in front of the helicopter before we waved the helicopter off at lunch time.
