Protecting Pupils Online

Our School has been in the forefront
of this technology for many years.

Its benefits are immense, but with it go dangers as pupils become bolder and engage with internet chat rooms, MSN instant messenger and other similar on line places.

First and foremost every parent should know when their child is online and have supervision of that, which websites he/she is on and what chat  rooms he/she has access to etc.

It is a balancing act as no one wishes to stifle a child’s genuine attempts to learn more about this wonderful world we live in and connect with others, using this amazing technology, who live different lives in different places.

The technology is brilliant but with it are inherent risks.

A significant minority "out there online" are not like the rest of us and pose a risk to our children..

The above flyer is from London and it makes good sense.
