Recorder Workshop

Mrs MacMillan runs the recorder group during a lunch hour.

She applied for the recorder group to attend the LEA run Rugeley workshop and was successful.

The workshop comprised 6 schools (Mrs Stokes and Mr Dipple's Schools were there- both ex-Cheslyn Hay Primary School teachers) with music previously rehearsed in schools and an opportunity to take part in a workshop/concert involving 100 children.

A pupil in a school might find it hard to forgo the lunchtime playground for a recorder class and wonder where this leads to.

It was so good for our pupils to suddenly discover there are many children like them doing something similar in a lunch hour in other Staffordshire Schools and be a part of a concert.

Even the Headteacher learned how to play the recorder during the afternoon!

Many thanks to Mrs MacMillan for giving our recorder musicians that opportunity.

Some of the afternoon was recorded on video which is featured below.
