Recycling

Steam rising from the
fermenting green waste

The Knockout news team made a little visit to Hollybush to find out how the Recycling is getting on. We found out that all the your green bin rubbish has been going there and there it will be changed in to compost then will be given to either farmers or to a factory there it will be put into packages so the public can buy it. For it to be made it would have to be put in to a streader and then left for eight weeks and in those weeks it will be tossed over twice a week by a big tractor and that is why sometimes when you go outside it doesn't smell very nice. Well when it has been out side for eight weeks it will be left somewhere else for four weeks and then it is ready for everybody's Garden. It is saving the most lovely areas in the UK from being dug up for peat and meaning wild animals can't live there.
