On Friday 12th December Sir Patrick Cormack set off from his London flat at 6.0 a.m to drive up to one of his favourite Staffordshire Primary Schools.

He arrived at 11.0 a.m and given a tour of the school. After which he was interviewed by KON reporters Chloe and Helen.

He has been an MP for 34 years and has been Knighted by the Queen for his work in the Community. He was Knighted along with 100 other people.

He founded the All Parliamentary Arts and Heritage group for Finland, Croatia and Bosnia

He is former Chair of the Campaign for the Soviet Jewry and "One parent Family Groups"

Are we surpised he was knighted?

The school writes to an African child that he has adopted.

At the last leadership contest he voted for Kenneth Clarke but Ian Duncan Smith won. Sir Patrick thought that Ian Duncan Smith was a very nice man but not a good leader. He thinks Michael Howard, the new leader, is very good and will narrow the gap between the two main parties.

Last week he organised a party for the House of Commons MP's and another one for the Conservative MP's

When asked why he had come to CHPS he replied "The children always look smart in their uniforms and always polite".

What did KON think? "He sounded a bit posh but we really liked him!"
