Katie Haywood's first weeks of life were overshadowed by a liver problem that threatened to ruin her future.

Parents Ruth and Nigel Haywood from Cheslyn Hay in Staffordshire, were delighted with the change in their daughters life.

She inherited a disease which badly affected her liver.

"It has given her a new start in life. The change was incredible and wonderful to watch," said housing manager Nigel Haywood. زShe was saved by a special feeding programme which enabled her to do what any normal toddler doesس.

Kate has to continue to go to hospital for tests but is living a normal and active life for a 10 year old.
