School Run Mark 2 Service

On Sunday 1st December Cheslyn Hay Primary School ran a Mark 2 Service.

The theme was "Putting Christ back into Christmas".

Because without Christ in Christmas all we would have is "mas". Which is totally meaningless.

Several pupils form the school played keyboard:

The School also evolved a short modern sketch
about registering the extraordinary birth of Jesus.

Three year six pupils who are, Sian Lloyd, Benjamin Whitehouse and David Gelder played the sketch.

Sian more interested in "Smash Hits" and her nails rather than registering a birth!

David Gelder no help whatsoever!

This was followed by a talk by Mr M.K.Tibbetts about how to put "Christ back into Christmas".

That was then followed by two prayers:

One by Mr M.K.Tibbetts and one by a year six pupil Katie Haywood on how shop adverts say things like:

Let Sainsburys take care of Christmas and trust Marks and Spencers to look after your Christmas!

All people think Christmas is about is

Presents:

  • Chocolate
  • Advent calenders
  • Shopping
  • Santa
  • Rudolph

But they don’t think about Jesus!
