There are thousands of plastic water bottles that are going to be dished out, to thousands of infants schools all across Staffordshire in a bid to try and get them to drink more water. Water Company Severn Trent is handing out free water bottles to youngsters after the half term. The plan is to give Primary Schools bottles so that children will stop drinking fizzy pop. Now the bottles with a H2GO logo will be washed out and refilled to primary schools in Cannock, Rugeley, Stafford and Lichfield. Managing Director of Servern Trent, Brian Duckworth said that he wanted to give every five-year-old a free water bottle and when they had finished they would fill it with more water from the tap. Students said that children dont have enough water and will allow them to drink in class. KON Thursday, November 07, 2002 |
