A cheslyn hay pupil has received a letter after 2 auditions to get into the national youth ballet, to say he has successfully manajed to get in!

8 year old Ashley Davies of 4H (Miss Tipler’s class) received a letter on the 23rd of April to inform him that he had got into the national youth ballet! It started off when he went to some audition’s on the 17 of march 02, he then received a letter to invite him back to a final set of audition’s, then he got the letter to say he was in the N.Y.B(national youth ballet)!Natalie Mason & Aimee Kingston(KON reporter’s) Interviewed the ballet bash the after noon on the day he received the letter!

1. Do you get picked on for taking up dancing?

Yeah, a lot, everyone say’s it’s for girl’s!

2. Does it ever put you off your dancing?

No, if you like something you should stick with it no matter what people say or do!

3. What dances do you do?

Tap, ballet, Russian, modern and theatre craft!

4. When do you do your dancing? Friday, Saturday Sunday and Monday, sometimes I have to miss school for my dancing!

5. Do you mind?

Definitely not, I think it’s great!

6. When did you start dancing and how?

I started dancing when I was 2 and a half year’s old and I started because I saw my sister in a pantomime and I wanted to give it a go!

7. Did you find it hard to get to your standard now?

Yes I found it really hard but I enjoy it too much to stop because of how hard it is!

8. What is your highest dancing grade and what dance is it for?

4 grade’s out of 6 I think in ballet!

9. What would you like your dancing to take you to? Starring in Billie Elliot 2 if there is one and dancing with S Club Junior’s , S Club 7 or Robbie William’s!

10. Are you proud of your achievement’s no matter what people say about boy’s dancing?

Yes definitely!
