Steve Garner, a teacher of English at Cheslyn Hay High School, died aged 41 at home from a brain haemorrhage. He collapsed at his home in Stafford Road Huntington on Monday evening. His partner, Miss Wylie, is a nurse and said that his heart valves , kidneys and liver have been donated to other patients at the hospital, which is funny, she says, because a few weeks ago he said that he wanted to be a donor. Mr Ayling, Head of the High School, broke the news to staff and pupils about the death of a popular teacher and sent them home. Miss Wylie said that she had to break into their house, where they discovered the body. Mr Garner also leaves a former wife and children who are devastated by the news.
