Cheslyn Hay High School Head Retires

Mr John Swinburn with "Knock our News" reporters

Mr. John Swinburn has retired after 18 years at Cheslyn Hay High School. The new Head teacher is now Mr. Ailing who is from a school in Burton on Trent .

Mr Swinburn leaves the school with his memories of the jokes of the pupils. He told us a very bad one from his teachers!

A human head cut off from its body was found on the Cheslyn Hay School playing fields (The rest of the body was found in Manchester and was on television news) . Mr Swinburn told us that his staff said that they'd found a new head!

Not many people know this, but Mr Tibbetts mum (Mrs T!) was Deputy Head at Grange School Oldham when Mr Swinburn was Grange School's Head of Science.

Mr Swinburn is spending his retirement playing golf and helping Staffordshire Schools improve their exam results. Cheslyn Hay High School staff have been to London to tell the Prime Minister how they have got good exam grades.

There were rumours of change of uniform but that may not be true. We are going to interview the new Headteacher this week.
