A V2 bomb

WE couldn’t believe how big it was and these were sent and dropped on London in the last stages of the 2nd World War.
The V2 became the model for the jet propelled nuclear bomb.

The technology is impressive. It put men on the moon. The technology protects our country. The downside of the technology is it is designed to kill as many people as possible in the most economic way. We continue to strive as communities and nations to live with different beliefs and  identities. The Cosford museum is a testament to  technological success of the UK and it’s resilience when under attack.

Cosford airbase represents  both a reminder of our past and challenges our view of the future. It is a special place which is open to the public with no entrance fee.
