Ceremony over.

I am very grateful to the Rector of St. Marks Church, for engaging with some of our youngest children and performing a simulated baptism in my school .

This is the third time we have done this in school and it has attracted some criticism from local Christian community who felt it was devaluing the act of baptism.

As a practising Christian Headteacher I think this annual event is the start of the path which makes all our pupils aware of the religious and multicultural community that represents our country and worthy of celebration.
