Chinese New Year
We have been learning about how Chinese people celebrate ‘New Year’ as part of our celebrations topic. And we have had a party to celebrate. Lots of us dressed up for the occasion.
We played party games which included pin the tongue on the dragon and the tails on the horse, sheep (as the reception children were born in these years) and rat (as it is going to be the year of the rat next).
Then we did our own version of a dragon dance!
Then after all this excitement we went back to the classroom for some Chinese food. This included - sweet and sour noodles and prawn crackers. The children had a very enjoyable afternoon. Thank you to the parents who provided some fantastic costumes, your support is much appreciated. |
