RATS Part 2 Tae Kwon-do came from Korea and the army were trained in physical and deadly defence tactics to ward off the occupying Chinese army
Ben, Paul and Mike from the Jenny Lee Centre in Wednesfield not only showed their skills but also gave our pupils some lessons. Although it was a skill designed for war, it is now a non-contact sport requiring the highest level of fitness. I was not able to attend the whole session but the pictures below show some of what took place and Y6 loved it!
An ex pupil of Cheslyn Hay, Laura Cross, is poised to gain her black belt in martial arts and be able to run classes. She is now in Y9 at the High School and send me an e mail every time she gets a new belt. As someone who watches young footballers in the Premiership on a regular basis, these three blokes had fitness levels and agility that were nothing short of awesome. |
