Y6 Need Ingenuity at the Engenuity Science Museum in Coalbrookdale, Shropshire
Briefing before the work commences. The Enginuity museum, a stone’s throw from the famous Iron Bridge Gorge and the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution, is a “hands on” science museum where pupils can learn about the history of scientific development, forces, materials and design.

Building a Truss
The arch is one of the most robust and strongest structures where bridges and buildings are concerned. It has been challenged by the modern suspension bridge.
Construct a building that will stand up The plate on which the pupils construct their building moves and simulates an earth tremour.
