Year 6 Focus on Light

As part of national Science week year 6 went to the Heritage Centre in Lichfield to learn about light. In small groups they went round a series of mini workshops which dealt with different aspects of light.

So what do our eyes and these old cameras have in common?

Checking out symmetry, convex and concave mirrors

A periscope – yes you really can see round corners with this
– but only because light travels in straight lines!
