CHESLYN HAY Y5/6 football team enjoyed a thumping victory in the sun on Friday afternoon against a spirited St Joseph’s side who are keen to build a strong relationship with Cheslyn Hay in a variety of sports.

Cheslyn Hay made a mockery of a hard bouncing pitch and through some clinical finishing built an unassailable lead with players gaining experience in different positions and also giving me the opportunity to plan ahead for next year.

Particular praise going to Sam Laxton in his first game for the school team, getting stuck in, and nearly grabbing himself a couple of goes.

Well done to St Josephs for not giving up – lesser teams would have!
And well done to their goalkeeper who made a number of super saves!
