Maths and science revision is fun!

Year 6 pupils visited Beaudesert on Cannock Chase as part of their preparation for the KS2 SATs. They met up with a large group of trainee teachers from Wolverhampton University and spent the day on a wide variety of very different maths and science related activities: they estimated and then measured the circumference of the castle ring and the amphitheatre, they found the perimeter and area of the old walled garden, discovered how to find the height and age of trees as well as pond dipping.

This is the second year that we have worked in this way and the university students and tutors were very complimentary about our confident, enthusiastic pupils.
